Dr. Saad, obtained his Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Geneva, Switzerland, and completed postdoctoral research at the National Research Center of Agronomy and Ecology, Toulouse, France. He is a Microbial ecologist and geneticist interested in exploring the sustainable management of desert resources, including biodiversity conservation, ecosystem restoration, and climate change adaptation. He works in strategical planning of different mega projects, including Saudi green initiatives (SGI), the Restoration of the Lake Cadagno area in Switzerland, and Ecological restoration planning for several projects at NEOM.

Currently, Dr. Saad leads the application of different innovations in Ecological Restoration, and functions as CEO of Growbiom where his research focuses on developing and implementing ecologically sustainable solutions to restore degraded soil ecosystems. He applies a combination of empirical experimentation, modeling, and cutting-edge technologies, to guide and implement innovative and effective restoration methods.
